Before he could study the scene, the sheep surged forward, nudging and pushing his legs. They seemed desperate to get under the porch, bleating insistently.

“This doesn’t work, guys,” he grunted, trying to block them. The last thing he needed was animals trampling through whatever strange thing this was. He herded them back toward their pen.
