Jason called out, his voice bouncing off the cave walls. “Hello? We’re here! You left us a message!” His words disappeared into the darkness.
No response. Emily’s breath quickened. “Maybe he’s not here.” Jason frowned. “Or maybe he doesn’t want to be found.” The thought sent a chill through both of them.
