“You never know what lurks beneath the surface,” Liam said nervously as he stepped closer. Liam felt shapes move past his leg multiple times during his crossing. “They’re probably catfish,” Liam said to steady himself.
Those fish were strong but wouldn’t flank a human and drag them into the water. He steadied his breathing and eventually made it across.
