Lilly was halfway up the stairs when it happened. A sharp crack rang out beneath her. Lilly looked down just in time to see one of the steps give out completely.
Her right leg dropped through the broken wood, scraping her leg with its broken splinters. She cried out as the wood bruised her skin instantly.
