The object finally emerged fully above the waves, water cascading off its long cylindrical body. One end twisted with corrosion while jagged edges jutted through layers of coral and steel.
It didn’t resemble scrap or shipwreck debris. Its deliberate, unfamiliar design looked strangely alien, as though it belonged to a forgotten era entirely.
