The shattered screen pulsed weak light, casting a fragile bubble around it. Kevin crouched low, steps echoing unnervingly across the cavernous hall.
“This place… it’s eerie as hell,” he whispered, voice smothered by silence. Each footfall sounded too loud, feeding his nerves. He slid forward cautiously, heart hammering, before finally snatching the phone up and clutching it like fragile treasure.
