Kevin lifted the crooked map carefully from its hooks. Dust rained down as he leaned it against the wall. His breath caught—behind it, carved into stone, was a narrow opening.
Not natural, but deliberate. Willem’s cryptic note suddenly made sense. Kevin’s pulse surged. This was the tunnel. The Shawshank clue had pointed him here all along.
