Megan and Bob waited to see if the splash would repeat. For a while, nothing happened. Then suddenly, a black shadow leapt from the water.
It soared high into the air while letting out the saddest, most guttural moan they had ever heard. The shape was long and slick, at least ten feet, and so dark that details were hard to make out.
