Man Finds Enormous Chain on Beach — Then Learns Where It Leads

A crevice

He shone his light across the jagged edges of the crevice, watching how the links vanished into blackness. It was as if the seabed had opened deliberately, swallowing the chain whole.

A chill ran through him that had nothing to do with the water. The deeper the chain went, the stranger it became. He wondered silently what could possibly lie at the other end.
