Ignoring them

The ground shook faintly under their weight as the adults closed in, but to Ben’s shock, none lunged. Not a hiss, not a snap of teeth. The massive reptiles brushed past his boots, scales gleaming in the shed’s glow. Clinton froze, camera raised but shaking. Every instinct screamed to run. Yet the alligators ignored them completely, focused instead on the shed itself.
