The trail led to the galley, where cupboards hung open, crammed with bottles, cans, and scavenged supplies. Jason’s breath caught. “This isn’t abandoned. It’s a shelter.”
Ben nodded, even though he had reservations. The voices grew louder behind a curtain. Jason froze. “They’re close,” he whispered. Ben’s pulse quickened. “Then we’re about to find out.”
