Emma walked around the car door and glanced at the tire, expecting to see an obvious flat. This road was bumpy and uneven, so it wasn’t strange that some sharp rock had punctured the rubber under her car.
In Emma’s mind, she was already changing the wheel with the spare she kept in the trunk.
