The shape was just… wrong, almost as if it had been built by steady hands on purpose, rather than sculpted by insects.
It didn’t have the familiar hexagonal honeycomb pattern he’d seen before. Out of curiosity, he carefully peeled back a small piece of the surface, expecting to see sticky honey or bee larvae inside.
