Phill narrowed his eyes and tried to focus on the odd sight. There was a large, lumpy growth clinging to the tree’s side, right at eye level.
It seemed wedged tightly against the bark, sticking out awkwardly. The rest of the trees looked normal, making this mass seem even more out of place.
