“We’ll need official written statements from both of you,” the detective added. “Everything you told us verbally needs to be documented for the report.”
Harold nodded, grateful he had Ken by his side. Together, they filled out detailed accounts—each memory, each detail, each moment of Flint’s intimidation.
Surprising Request

When they finished, another officer stepped in with a surprising question. “Would you be willing to testify if this goes to trial?” Harold exchanged a look with Ken.
Testifying sounded intimidating, but after everything Flint had done, Harold couldn’t imagine turning away now. “If it helps,” Harold said quietly, “I’ll do it.”
