Looking up, they noticed a hole in the roof of the cave, which revealed the forest surface level beyond the mountain.
The hole was perfectly round, allowing a shaft of light to illuminate the entire cave. The bizarre sight was both mesmerizing and terrifying at once. The vast space made them feel small.
