After dinner, they returned to the canal just before sunset, only to find the entire area blocked off. Not just yellow tape this time, but actual temporary fencing surrounded the canal, and floodlights lit up the area.
Men in uniforms were walking around everywhere. The whole place looked like a tightly controlled area now.
