Once on top, Clara crawled carefully toward the hatch she’d noticed earlier from the bridge. It looked solid and old, with a circular wheel for a lock.
She tried turning it but it wouldn’t budge. Jules joined her, putting both hands on the wheel, and together, they forced it to move slightly.
