Just as before, when Luis made his little cut, a foul-smelling liquid poured out of the bulbous mass. It ran onto the floor, culminating in a puddle right underneath his feet.
This stuff was sticky, so much so that Luis had a hard time lifting his boot off the ground when he realized what he was standing in.
